History, Situation, Challenge

Threats by a University Student

A university student who sent threatening postcards to a member of the BLL was arrested on suspicion of blackmail in May 2000. The cards state, "If you don't want your Buraku origins revealed then you will have to pay me five hundred thousand yen". It was revealed that he was also the person who continuously wrote discriminatory graffiti in Tokyo railway stations.
