Discriminatory Remarks During the Third World Conference on Religion and Peace


During the Third World Conference on Religion and Peace in Princeton, U.S.A., held in August 1979, representative of religious sector from Japan denied that discrimination against Buraku people existed in Japan. The BLL strongly denounced the remarks and discriminatory nature of religious organizations in Japan. Under critical reflection of the incident, the Joint Conference of Religious Sects on the Dowa Problem was organized in June, 1981. This photo shows the third denunciation session over the remarks.
