Urban Buraku Communities - After the Enactment of the Special Measures Laws

In 1975, town planning began which saw the construction of housing and public facilities such as the Liberation Community Hall, a gymnasium, a welfare centre and a clinic. The community is now focusing primarily on education, employment and welfare as part of their 25 year comprehensive plan. This photo shows the community as it looks today.
